Gradients
The art series 'Gradients' consists of two works, 'Fade' and 'Glimpse', which address the shifts and distortions in the perception of reality in different ways.
01
"Fade" Sketch
The right side of the face is distorted by an endless gradient of colors, blurring the contours of the face.
02
"Glimpse" Sketch
"Glimpse" portrays a person who exerts a certain restriction on their view by creating a dark shadow with their hand.
03
Applying the color
The outlines of the face were painted with varying transparency.
04
Covering up the body
Creation of a veil. The existing form is painted over with an additional layer of watercolor.
05
Glimpse
The shadow can reveal how we sometimes place ourselves in the darkness and make ourselves smaller than we actually are. At the same time, it can also be a symbol of our ability to shape and influence our own identity and self-image.
06
Fade
The gradients between the squares are meant to represent the blurriness that arises when we get lost in our own thoughts and worries. They show how our perception of reality is often distorted when we let our own fears and doubts guide us.
